2 dessertspoons gelatine

4 average size beetroots cooked and sliced

1 cup hot water

¾ cup vinegar

2 dessertspoons sugar

Pepper, salt.


Peel and slice beetroot after cooking for at least an hour.  Remembering to make sure water is always covering the beetroot.

Dissolve gelatine in hot water.  Add sugar, salt, pepper, and vinegar.

Leave to thicken slightly then pour over the beetroot.

Refrigerate overnight.
